Orangettes made out of orange peels left over from snack at school. One of my extended day students cut the heart shapes out for me before I candied them that night.
I just stumbled upon this post and was totally amazed, as I delivered my first order of my Valentine Orangettes with one heart shaped Orangette in each box to Market of Choice on January 11th this year then featured them at my booth at the Oregon Chocolate..... festivalhttp://www.ashlandspringshotel.com/12-or-chocolate-vendors.php (The French Connection)and then added them to my website recently as a year round item. Pretty darn amazing if you ask me!
